Oneonta, New York - ONEONTA - Russell J. Archer, 81, of Oneonta passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 at A.O. Fox Hospital.

He was born March 24, 1944 in Walton, the son of the late Judd C. and Nora M. (Barringer) Archer.

Russ is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Robbins) Archer; four children, KimAne Petrillose, Christine Gray, Russell "Rusty" (Jennifer) Archer Jr. and Lorraine Archer; two stepsons, Blaine Jennings and Scott Jennings; step daughter-in-law, Pam Jennings; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Paula Hughson and Nancy Bishop; two sisters-in-law, Debra (Jack) Blanchard and Sherry Asquith; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Chloe.

A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring in West Oneonta Cemetery.
