GRAND GORGE - Shirley E. Kellerhouse, 81, a longtime resident of Grand Gorge, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Albany Medical Center.

Shirley was born in Roxbury, May 18, 1935, the daughter of Harold and Ethel(Sanford) Hinkley. She married the love of her life

Donald E. Kellerhouse on May 7. 1955.

She graduated from the Roxbury Central School in 1953. She was a aide at the library at Grand Gorge Central School and was the

owner and manager of Don's Dairy Freeze in Grand Gorge for several years. Shirley was a active member of the Grand Gorge United Methodist Church where she was treasurer for 20 years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Grand Gorge and the Grand Gorge Seniors Club.

She was a avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and playing solitaire

Born the 10th of 12 brothers and sisters, Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Donald; children, Deborah, Daniel, and Lori; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Donald Jr.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, at the Grand Gorge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dottie Morris and the Rev. Paul Meade officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.

Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the United Methodist Church of Grand Gorge, Grand Gorge Fire Department or

American Cancer Society.
