Oneonta, New York - ONEONTA - Tammy Lynne Lum, 54, of Oneonta, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022.

Tammy was born on July 9, 1968, in Paterson, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Linda (Burrows) and Kenneth Ogborn.

Tammy was most recently employed by Frontier Communications in Pomona, California, as a programming trainer and just recently returned to the area to be closer to her son and grandson. Tammy was enrolled in the LPN program at ONC BOCES campus and was so excited for her new adventure. It had been a dream of hers for years. Tammy had a happy-go-lucky personality and may have been the hardest working, most meticulous and organized person that anyone may have known. She was always the life of the party.

She loved her Dallas Cowboys (a trait she got from her son) and was in love with NASCAR's Chase Elliot. Above those loves, was the love that she had for her companion, Carl Utter, and the rest of her family. Her family remembers her as a thoughtful caregiver who could not have done more for her son and grandson.

Tammy is survived by her son, Kyle (Kelly) Lum; grandson, Warren Lum; companion, Carl Utter, brothers, Tim (Alex) Burrows, Todd (Kathy) Burrows and Tony Ogborn; ex-husband, Douglas (Brenda) Lum and step-grandchild, Trystin Worman. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tammy was predeceased by her parents, Ken and Linda Ogborn; and uncle, Larry Ogborn.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours at Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad St., Morris, from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19.

A celebration of her life will be held at Roadhouse 23 in West Oneonta at a later date that will be announced.
