AFTON - Tracy Scott Tarbell, 56, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 28, 2022, at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.

He was born Oct. 26, 1965, in Sidney the son of the late Floyd and Arlene (Moore) Tarbell.

Tracy graduated from Franklin Central School with the Class of 1983. He attended SUNY Delhi studying accounting.

On Aug. 11, 2012, Tracy married Tamara Lewis in East Burke, Vermont.

Tracy was an adventurer. He loved being outdoors whether it was mountain biking, road/gravel biking or hiking. He was a very kind and generous man and would do anything to help those around him. Tracy was a mountain of a man. He had a presence that brought the best out of everyone.

Tracy loved spending time with his family especially his two precious granddaughters, Alice and Juliet.

Tracy is survived by his wife, Tami Tarbell; two sons, Bryan and Victoria Tarbell and Conor Tarbell and fiancé, Genevieve Schuster; two granddaughters, Alice and Juliet Tarbell; two brothers, Bruce and Debbie Tarbell and Breck and Marina Tarbell; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins and numerous friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, at Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main St., Franklin.

A time for sharing will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m.
