BOVINA CENTER - Travis E. Batey, 41, of Clifton Park, formerly of Bovina Center, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Albany Medical Center, following a long illness.
Born on June 27, 1979, in Albany, Travis is the son of Michael and Christine (Hilson) Batey.
Travis was a 2008 graduate of SUNY Delhi and was a CAD draftsman for Johnson Controls for the last 13 years.
He enjoyed baseball, cheering on the NY Mets and he also had an extensive baseball card collection. Travis had a passion for golf and enjoyed playing with his family and friends.
He was a member of the Halfmoon Church of Christ.
Travis is survived by his parents, Michael and Christine Batey of Bovina Center; brother, Evan Batey of Grass Valley, California; uncles and aunts, John and Margaret Hilson of Bovina Center, Nancy and Chuck Walker of Algodones, New Mexico, Debbie and Ed Eldridge of Kingston Springs, Tennessee and Pattie and Buckie Hawkins of Franklin, Tennessee; along with several cousins and close friends.
A memorial service was held at Halfmoon Church of Christ.
