Albany, NY - Troy A. Bielert, 44, passed away on March 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

The son of Constance ("Connie") Anderson and the late Craig Bielert, Troy was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He moved with his family to Oneonta, at the age of five. A graduate of Oneonta High School, he earned degrees from Hartwick College, the University at Albany, and the College of St. Rose.

Troy is survived by his spouse, Alisa; his mother, Connie; and sisters, Shiloh, Evie, and Lorien. He was a devoted uncle to Eowyn, Logan, Lakota, Aden, Ethan, and Nola.

Friends and relatives may visit Troy's family 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N Allen St, Albany, NY.
