SHERBURNE - Walter A. Rogers Sr., 86, of Sherburne, passed away Jan. 6, 2021, in New Berlin.
He was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Burlington Green, son of William and Edna Ward Rogers.
On Dec. 18, 1952, Walter married Agnes E. Cline in Burlington Green. She died June 7, 1997.
Walter worked for Webb & Sons in Sherburne and New Berlin retiring in 1996.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially camping.
His family meant everything to him and he would do anything for them.
Walter is survived by his sons, Walter A. Jr. (Debbie) Rogers, Sherburne, John F. Rogers, Lebanon, Daniel N. (Judy) Rogers, Smyrna, Michael (Brenda) Rogers, Sherburne, Terry M. (Lisa) Hendrickson, Sherburne; daughter, Ella Marie (Kevin) Preston, Middlefield; sister, Edna Tarbox of Clinton; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10. Funeral services will be private.
