Wanda B. Dibble
September 2, 1927 - January 19, 2020
EAST MEREDITH - Wanda B. Dibble, 92, formerly of East Meredith, passed away at Chestnut Park Nursing Home, Oneonta on Jan. 19, 2020, where she had been residing since April 2018.
Wanda was born on Sept. 2, 1927, in Oneonta, the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Maude (Stoutenburg) Smith.
Wanda was married to William Dibble, who passed away on Jan. 16, 1997.
She worked at SUNY Oneonta for several years until her retirement and spent may years at her home in East Meredith. Wanda loved having family and friends over for the holidays and anytime to enjoy a great meal, lots of laughs and usually a card game or two. She also enjoyed knitting and made a large variety of gifts for family and friends. Wanda was a kind person, often helping other whenever she could.
Wanda is survived by many cousins and numerous friends who will all miss her dearly. Many will remember the 70th birthday party held at the East Meredith Fire Hall where a great time was had by all.
A memorial and celebration of Wanda's life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Davenport United Methodist Church, 15696 State Highway 23, Davenport. Friends and relatives are invited to call one from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Stamford Cemetery in the spring.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
