William M. Hughes (Bill) Obituary
MORRIS - William M. Hughes passed away Jan. 2, 2025 at Fox Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 8, 1936 in Mohawk to Millard and Frances Hughes.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Janice DeGristina; brother, Millard and his beloved daughter Kim Wiltsie. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ellinor; daughters, Carol Hay, Cindy (Jeff) Costley, Lise (DJ) Baird; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved fiercely.
He loved to hunt and especially fish at Black Lake with his family, even making a fisherman out of son-in-law DJ. He just loved to spend time with family. He loved to make big breakfasts for his family although we could not handle the hot sauce and hot dogs do not belong in home fries.
His ashes will be interred in Brookside Cemetery, Gilbertsville next to his daughter, Kim.
There will be no services.
The family would like to thank Fox Hospital nurses and staff for the exceptional care they gave to our father and us.
