MORRIS - William Samuel Moore, 73, of Morris passed away at home, with his wife by his side, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025. William was born on Nov. 14, 1951, in Delhi and was the son of the late Dorville and Katherine (Whitney) Moore. On May 30, 1992, he married the love of his life, Patricia Dawson.

William was employed by Quest International in the maintenance department for 25 years. He was very musically inclined, playing trumpet, keyboard and bass guitar. William took great pride in taking care of his property. He even built his own movie theater. Bill was a wonderful woodworker creating many unique items. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and collecting John Deere memorabilia. Bill loved his dogs: Sparky, Izzy-B, Max, Yatsie, and Jax.

William is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughter, Sarah (Scott) Wessel; son, David (Bethann) Moore; daughter, Kristen Moore; sister, Beth (Bruce) Wells; best friend, Tom (Lorraine) Moore; grandchildren, Jasmine and Anabelle Wessel, Selina and Dominic Moore; several cousins and many close friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Garry Moore.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad Street, Morris. His funeral service will follow at 4p.m. Loved ones are invited to share memories, after the ceremony, in his home on 182 Butternut Ridge Road.
