William A. 'Santa Bill' Turner JEFFERSON - William A. "Santa Bill" Turner died at home Oct. 22, 2014, one week after his son, Billy Turner. "Santa Bill" was well-known as the "Santa" of the surrounding area. He was very active in his community and the proud owner of the Maplehurst Adult Home in Stamford, for 22 years. Bill was very active in his church, the Hope Restoration Church in Windham. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Emma Turner; children, Jamie and Don Kendall, Jimmy Turner (South Carolina); grandchildren, Rebekah Kendall, Sarah (Kendall) and Michael Stannard, Dayna Turner and Jessie O'Neil; five great-grandchildren; and Billy's fiancée, Glenda Guest. A joint memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Nov. 1, 2014, at the Hope Restoration Church in Windham, NY 12496. Both father and son will be dearly missed by those whose lives they touched. Condolences for the family may be left on the funeral home website halltarifh.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall-Tari Funeral Home, Stamford, under the direction of William A. Tari.
